Figure 03 was officially launched on October 9, 2025 (the same day as its TIME Best Inventions cover), and is Figure AI's first third-generation product designed from scratch for the home and for large-scale mass production (what launched in April 2025 was a Helix home demo built on Figure 02, not Figure 03 itself). Official specifications: 5'8" (about 173 cm) tall, 61 kg, a 20 kg payload, about 5 hours of runtime and 1.2 m/s. Before launch, media mostly reported 1.68 m/60 kg; the final figures published on the figure.ai website are authoritative.
Figure 03's core highlights: first, it is designed entirely around the in-house Helix vision-language-action (VLA) model, so it can perform household chores (folding laundry, washing dishes, watering plants, serving food, tidying rooms, climbing stairs) from natural-language instructions without pre-programming, and the company stresses that the videos involve no teleoperation. Second, home-safety design — a soft, washable fabric shell, multi-layer foam pinch protection, a UN38.3-certified battery, 2 kW wireless inductive charging (foot coils recharge simply by stepping onto the charging pad) and 10 Gbps millimeter-wave data offload. Third, a ground-up redesign for mass production — roughly 78–90% lower component costs (per media), with production at the BotQ factory in San Jose, California, targeting 12,000 units a year and 100,000 units cumulatively within four years.
Commercial progress: pilot deployments with partner households began in late 2025, and by the end of June 2026, 40 Figure 03 robots were deployed in Shop 52 of BMW's Spartanburg plant for logistics sequencing tasks (confirmed in BMW's official press release of July 2026). CEO Brett Adcock's goal is autonomous operation in home settings in 2026.
