What it is

Walker X is the next-generation large humanoid service robot that UBTech Technology globally unveiled at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2021) in Shanghai on July 7, 2021; it is also the fifth iteration of the Walker series. Compared with the previous-generation Walker, its height was reduced to 130 cm and its weight to 63 kg (14 kg lighter than the previous generation). It has 41 high-performance servo joints across its body and an all-round perception system covering multi-dimensional force sensing, multi-camera stereo vision, omnidirectional hearing, inertial sensing, and ranging.

Highlights

01Globally unveiled at WAIC 2021 and a benchmark for China's large humanoid service robots
02Adaptive walking on 20° slopes, up and down 15 cm steps, and walking on 3 cm uneven ground
03Can walk while carrying 10 kg on its back or 3 kg in each hand
04U-SLAM visual navigation for autonomous path planning
05Modular design: head, hands, and battery can all be quickly removed
