What it is

The S1 is an AI robot assistant officially launched by Astribot on August 19, 2024: a wheeled chassis combined with a humanoid upper body, 170 cm tall, 80 kg, with a 194 cm arm span and seven degrees of freedom per arm. It has a 5 kg rated payload per arm (arm extended), an end-effector top speed of up to 10 m/s, a maximum acceleration of about 100 m/s², repeat positioning accuracy of ±0.1 mm, and 4–6 hours of battery life. Its April 2024 debut video, "Astribot S1: Hello World!", demonstrated clothes folding, sorting, wok tossing and cooking, vacuuming, and competitive cup stacking, drawing global attention for its extremely high speed and smooth, compliant manipulation.

Highlights

01End-effector top speed of 10 m/s, faster than human manipulation
025 kg rated payload per arm (arm extended) and ±0.1 mm repeat positioning accuracy
03Cable-driven transmission plus DuoCore fast/slow coordination for delicate tasks such as cooking, calligraphy, and playing the piano
