Unitree's first general-purpose humanoid robot, released in August 2023 and nicknamed "Fuxi," it was also China's first full-size general-purpose humanoid robot capable of running.
Unitree H1 is Unitree Robotics' first general-purpose humanoid robot, released in August 2023. Nicknamed "Fuxi," it is also China's first full-size general-purpose humanoid robot that can run. The robot uses an ultra-lightweight design, standing about 180 cm tall and weighing about 47 kg, with 19 degrees of freedom across the body (5 per leg, 4 per arm, 1 in the waist). It is powered by Unitree's in-house M107 high-torque joint motors, with a knee joint peak torque of about 360 N·m and a peak torque density of 189 N·m/kg, and is the world's first full-size electric humanoid robot capable of a standing backflip.
In terms of locomotion and perception, the H1 moves at 3.3 m/s, setting a humanoid running world record at launch, with potential locomotion performance above 5 m/s; it comes standard with 3D LiDAR and a depth camera for 360° panoramic depth perception. The battery has a capacity of 15 Ah (0.864 kWh) and a maximum voltage of 67.2 V, and supports quick replacement. In April 2026, a competition-modified H1 measured a peak speed of 10 m/s, setting a new humanoid running world record.
In terms of market and applications, a formation of 16 H1 robots in the 2025 CCTV Spring Festival Gala performance "Yangge BOT" made the robot a breakout hit; the H1 has also taken on transport and inspection tasks in industrial settings such as NIO's plant and is widely used in university research. The H1-2 is an upgraded version (6 DOF per leg, 7 per arm, 1 in the waist, 27 in total). In February 2025, the H1 made its online debut on JD.com at a price of CNY 650,000 (later delisted and moved to sales through official channels).
