What it is

Tiangong is the flagship domestic humanoid robot platform developed by the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, and the industry's first full-size humanoid robot to achieve contact-interactive whole-body high-dynamic motion control.

Development timeline: - April 2024: Tiangong 1.0 LITE unveiled (163 cm / 43 kg / 20 DOF), becoming the world's first full-size, fully electric humanoid robot capable of human-like running, with stable running at 6 km/h and blind traversal of slopes and stairs - August 2024: Tiangong 1.1 PRO and 1.2 MAX released (42 DOF; the 1.2 MAX is 173 cm tall / 60 kg, with hip and knee joint torque of 320 Nm) - April 2025: Tiangong 2.0 released, becoming China's first humanoid robot capable of adaptive walking on complex terrain - February 2026: Embodied Tiangong 3.0 released (169 cm / 62 kg / 43 DOF), performing high-dynamic moves such as a Thomas flare and winning the world's first Robot Warrior Challenge

Tiangong 3.0 relies on the in-house "Huisi Kaiwu" platform to deliver one brain for multiple capabilities and multiple robots. Alongside it, the team released TG-VLA, the industry's first full-size whole-body VLA model framework, and the platform has achieved large-scale mass-production delivery of general-purpose humanoid robots.
