HONOR's record-breaking sprint humanoid, built on phone battery and thermal tech.
Lightning is the racing humanoid built by HONOR's Qitian Dasheng team, part of the company's first humanoid robot line unveiled at MWC 2026 on 1 March. The 1.69 m robot has 0.95 m effective leg length, self-developed joint modules with 400 Nm peak torque and a liquid-cooling system adapted from HONOR's phones and PCs. It won the 2026 Beijing half-marathon in 50 minutes 26 seconds and later set a 100 m mark of 8.83 seconds at the World Humanoid Robot Games, with a reported peak speed of 14.5 m/s. HONOR positions the robot as an extreme testbed for battery, thermal and motion-control technology rather than a product for sale.
